ENTECH Engineering
is a consulting company providing technical support and computer
software to the nuclear power industry in the areas of radiological
engineering, and atmospheric dispersion of radioactive effluents.
ENTECH's software codes are thoroughly documented and validated,
and among the very best in the industry.
One of ENTECH's
primary objectives is to make its software available to the electric
utilities for enhancement of their in-house capabilities. A brief
description of each follows: ELISA-2 is a software package developed
for the radiological Evaluation of LIcensing and Severe Accidents
at light-water nuclear power plants. It is based on the classical
and alternative-source-term methodologies. ALLEGRA is a software
package that analyzes radioactive decay products and gamma spectra
as a function of decay time, based on up to 7-member decay chains
and the ORIGEN-2 data libraries. DIDOS-5E is a point-kernel shielding
software package for the computation of direct-shine radiation
doses from gamma rays emanating from a self-attenuating cylindrical
source surrounded by a number of containers, and shielded by semi-infinite
slabs. The DIDOS software was designed for carefree applications
and requires just a few lines of input; the available geometries
can handle the majority of gamma shielding problems typically
addressed by the nuclear power industry. AEOLUS-3 is a software
package for the determination of atmospheric dispersion and deposition
of nuclear power plant effluents during continuous, intermittent
and accident conditions, in open-terrain sites, coastal sites
and deep-river valleys.
